Out Of My Comfort Zone
Our March show, Out of My Comfort Zone, was a vivid reminder that growth rarely happens where things feel easy. From a college semester in the wilderness that tested resilience in unexpected ways, to a harrowing journey across the desert as a child immigrating to the United States, our six storytellers took us to the edges of their comfort zones and beyond. There were moments of humor and reinvention, including a story of being fired and turning it into a path toward confidence in stand-up, and reflections on claiming self-acceptance, whether through something as simple and meaningful as wearing glasses or stepping up to deliver a deeply personal eulogy. The night also brought us across the world, with a formative story of navigating India alone at 17. Bold, funny, and deeply moving, the evening unfolded with the courage and connection we’ve come to love on the Generation Women NJ stage. Check out some of our favorite moments from the show below!
